One color that always shows up around this time of the year is mustard yellow. While at first the color can be a bit intimidating, it is actually quite easy to incorporate into anyone’s wardrobe. For someone who tends to wear only neutrals for fall, mustard yellow is a great way to add color without feeling like you’re overdoing your look.
One way to wear yellow is to pair it with other warm, autumnal colors. Think dark burgundy, soft gold, and warm browns. The yellow will be the pop of color in an outfit’s soft, muted color palette.
It’s important to think about the other colors in your outfit when styling a mustard color piece of clothing. One of yellow’s complementary colors on the color wheel is violet and together, these two colors create a stand-out look.
Yellow and black might be too reminiscent of a bumble bee costume, so instead pair yellow with navy. Navy is a neutral that can be worn with almost any color and it’s just not harsh as black.
This marigold ruffle hem sweater is one of our favorite new arrivals! It has a slightly cropped fit, a gorgeous ruffle hem, and 3/4 length dolman sleeves.
We paired the top with an A-line skirt and black booties for a warm fall day, but we also love it with a pair of skinny jeans! The accessories were kept on the simpler side so we could let this gorgeous top get all the attention.
